Founders Of Rush Creek Sanctuary (BTKL Education And Animal Rescue Center)
We are a rescue sanctuary for animals ranging from wildlife to farm to domestic. The concept of rehabbing and rehoming to a forever home is important to us. Some animals will remain on site to work with our pet therapy programs for special needs children and adults disabled veterans, terminally ill patients and people experiencing emotional stress.
Over the last 25 years we have come together with scouts to provide outdoor educational overnight camping facilities to include animal therapy. We provide refuge for animals, veterans, and individuals with special needs or circumstances. These places offer care, support, and a safe environment for those in need. We are reaching out to introduce our group, the services, and programs we will be offering, and to solicit your support.
Animal rescue in this region is of utmost importance. Many animals face abandonment, abuse, and neglect, leaving them vulnerable. This is true for those animals we typically have for pets, as well as large domestic and wild animals. These animals deserve compassion and respect. They also need our help.
Rush Creek Sanctuary was formed to raise awareness of and respond to this need. Integrating educational, training, and recreational programs for those of all ages, veterans, and special needs with our animal rescue program enables us to help many in need.
