Dr. Brooks Trotter

Our Chief Medical Officer, Brooks Trotter, MD, sites on the Board of the Academy of Allergy & Asthma (AAAPC). After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at UT-Southwestern/St. Paul in Dallas. Previously, he attended medical school at Texas Tech University. As a board-certified internist, Dr. Trotter specializes in treating non-surgical problems in adult patients as well as chronic care and diseases.  

His goal is to reduce exposure to negative reactions to chemicals around his patients every day.  He also wants to reduce the causal relationship between toxic products and the allergies that they cause, including issues with asthma. Dr. Trotter, with his being on the Board of the AAAPC, advises on new trends and makes recommendations to the educational board committee regarding training at both the local as well as national level. 

Dr. Trotter believes in “real world medicine,” helping patients understand the lifestyle changes that can prevent disease and promote wellness, while taking a pragmatic approach to treatment.

  • Established a campground on Rush Creek Ranch and has sponsored Boy Scout and Girl Scout outings for 25 years
  • Provided a home on Rush Creek Ranch for unwanted donkeys, buffalo, longhorns and other animals for many years
  • Offering use of Rush Creek Ranch to capture the synergies and therapeutic benefits of integrating animals with developmental programs for those with special needs. Brooks has always adopted his own dogs from shelters having 3 rescues at all times
  • Offers education and Animal therapy to all the guest
  • He has offered his property and Co -Founded Rush Creek Sanctuary to save a safe heaven for animals ,autistic children and adults disabled Veterans and more.

Karen Renee, Operations Director

  • A leader in the local charitable community and animal rescue efforts for over 35 years
  • Actively helped raise awareness of and assisted those facing life challenges through no fault of their own, including breast cancer and child cancer victims, disabled veterans, and those with ALS
  • Supported over 40 local, non-profit organizations, including children’s hospitals, shelters for abuse women, food banks, and 5K charity run
  • Has teamed up with Dr. Trotter to establish BTKL to enhance ability to support her charitable efforts
  • Karen started rescuing animals at the age of 13 . Over the past 7 years she has rescued and worked with both domestic, farm and wildlife. Karen was diagnosed with a terminal illness when she was in her 20’s and it has progressed into several other illnesses. She started doing animal therapy herself by rescuing 6 mini donkeys and working with them .She believes in these programs through her personal experience and recovery. Her love of community and animals has brought her to BTKL.

Daryl S. Fleming, PhD

Daryl has been a major innovator in engineering career spanning four decades. Daryl has also realized significant success as a musician, composer, teacher, author, and entrepreneur. In response to being faced with life-altering injuries from a motorcycle accident early in his career, Daryl has focused his work on enhancing mobility, safety, and the lives of others.
Daryl’s engineering accomplishments include leading the operations teams on over $20 B (2024 US$) in infrastructure projects that introduced several technologies in widespread use today – innovations that have improved the efficiency and safety of our mobility systems. The more significant of these accomplishments include being the first to introduce several ITS technologies in wide-spread use throughout the world today, including the technology enabling V2X and AV communications, all-electronic-tolling (AET), automated violation and enforcement systems, and inter-state and international commercial vehicle port-of-entry pre-clearance programs.

Daryl S. Fleming, PhD

Daryl has also held several senior management positions throughout his career, including Senior Engineer at Hughes Aircraft, Vice President of Lockheed-Martin Information Management Systems, and President of The eTrans Group, Inc., a management consulting firm he cofounded that has served the transportation community, world-wide, since 1997. As the client, vendor, and/or advisor, Daryl has also supported liaison efforts with the financial community on the larger projects he has worked, and been successful in establishing strategic business initiatives, leading proposal efforts, procurements, and management of the delivery of projects ranging from $5K to $825MM.
Daryl is also an accomplished pianist and composer. He has performed in a variety of venues throughout North America, and in 1989 his second album, ‘Katahdin Moon’, was at the top of the jazz charts and received the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ award bestowed by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors (NAIRD), predecessor of the American Association of Independent Music that now sponsors the Indie Music Awards.
Daryl holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering and Planning from the University of New Brunswick, in Canada, and was registered as a Professional Engineer in the U.S. and Canada. Daryl has taught at several major universities, including being appointed to the Civil Engineering faculty at the University of Colorado at the age of 25, and being granted Adjunct Professor positions at UC Berkeley and Cal Poly Pomona in the late 1980s. Daryl also taught an introductory engineering course, advanced science and math classes at a college preparatory school for several years. Daryl has authored over 3 dozen technical publications, many in refereed journals, and writes short stories that integrate humor with life’s challenges as a hobby.
Daryl lives outside of Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Mary Lou, enjoys life with their three sons and wives, grandchildren, friends, travelling, and supporting animal welfare causes.

Dr. Shannon Darrow

As countless numbers of people face health, fitness and wellness quandaries around the world, one woman has taken her passion for serving others to a new level. In her desire to enhance the quality of life for people in various parts of the world, Dr. Shannon Darrow has been impacting positively on the lives of thousands in her role as Co-founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Spinal Missions. A nonprofit organization comprised of chiropractic doctors and students aiding people in underprivileged nations, Dr. Shannon has been at the helm of the organization since its inception. A fully registered IRB organization (IORG) with the U.S. Health and Human Services, for the past seven years, Dr. Shannon has been overseer of the nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Addressing health, wellness and fitness issues primarily in the Latin American culture, Dr. Shannon has made it her mission to help chiropractors enhance, revitalize and apply their skills through affordable mission trips to help those in need.

Revolutionary in her approach, Dr. Shannon works in close collaboration with countless volunteers, handling budgets, establishing objectives and outlining funding proposals for Spinal Missions. She has also served as Mission Consular for the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corp for the past year, an organization that serves as a central informational exchange that brings people of respective national origins and interests together. The mission of the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corp is to increase the number of suitable practicing Doctors of Chiropractic; thus as the Mission Consular, Dr. Shannon supports high profile humanitarian missions by coordinating with foreign national DC’s or NGO’s, all with the expressed intention of recruiting the next generation of chiropractors. In addition to advising on legal aspects of chiropractic in a variety of countries, she lends guidance in mission work by staying abreast of the current political climate regarding alternative medicine. Dr. Shannon also puts a great deal of attention on raising funds, public relations efforts and increasing chiropractic utilization in targeted countries.

Surrounded by an excellent executive board, her unrivaled dedication to international humanitarian aid and peaceful intervention has allowed her to fulfill her vision by delivering results that make a difference. Along with her cross cultural sensitivity, Dr. Shannon successfully fosters international and intercultural understanding and communication among various peoples and groups, helping to make essential changes in areas with difficult conditions.

Dr. Shannon is fully certified in Project Management, CPR/AED, Peer Mediation, Childhood Psychopathology Identification and Assessment, Chiropractic X-Ray, HIV/AIDS Awareness/ Prevention, Human Health, Fundraising for the Non-Profit and First Responders to name a few. She also navigates her services with the Ministry of Health in Jamaica, El Salvador, Ministry of Peace in Cameroon, Ministry of Healthy in Gabon and the various international chiropractic association . Currently, she is operating full time international clinics in the Dominican Republic with plans to expand rapidly. She is well versed in Healthcare, Sustainable Development, Non-profits, Administration, Nutrition, Leadership Development, International Aid & Development, Humanitarian Assistance, International Relations, Organizational Development, Women’s health, HIV Prevention and International Research.

Adding to her long list of credits, Dr. Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University where she made the Dean’s list. She also earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. While attending the university, Dr. Shannon was made a member of the Presidential Leadership Initiative (PLI) organization, an organization comprised of 100 students chosen by the University President as the top 100 leaders and innovative thinkers.

Dr. Pamela Darrow

Dr. Darrow has been involved with non-profit organizations working with children with disabilities, especially those on the Autism Spectrum. She has worked for over 30 years with the public and private school systems to ensure that all exceptional children have access to appropriate educational and psychological activities so they will be successful as they become adults in our society. Dr. Darrow also is a clinical psychologist and mediator.

She is passionate about her desire to see all children be successful in their learning environment but also within the social setting. For many years she worked with Spinal Missions in undeveloped countries to assist Hispanic children in accessing special education services. In the public environment, she has been a mentor for young teachers beginning their careers in special education.

Dr. Darrow holds degrees in Special Education, Homeland Security, Clinical Psychology, Mediation Specialist, Hispanic Culture, Human Resources, and Finance. Her degrees are from Notre Dame, Marquette University, University of Miami, George Mason University, and Walden University. Her memberships include, but are not limited to, National Security Administration, Autism Association of Nevada/Maryland, Georgia and Washington, Council for Exceptional Children, and the National Association for Special Education.

Dr Darrow is the head of therapy and hold the following certifications.

Paul Biggins

Paul Biggins began his career in financial services in 1983 with Dean Witter Reynolds. Paul is a Managing Partner with Biggins Wealth Services. He and his brother, Patrick Biggins, established Biggins Wealth Services and affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services in 2018. Prior to this, he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with UBS Financial Services. Paul is a native of Ohio. He attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio where he received his BS in Business Administration. Paul has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation through classroom instruction at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Investments and Wealth Institute. In addition to serving on the board of Rush Creek Sanctuary (BTKL Educational and Animal Rescue Center), Paul is also on the board of Choice Living Community in Corpus Christi, Texas. Choice Living Community provides programs to advance the achievement and knowledge of adults with disabilities.

Mary Lou Fleming

Mary Lou has had several successful careers over the last three decades. As Administrator for and reporting directly to the Board of Directors for Mechanical Contractors of Fairbanks, a major NFP for the last seven years, Mary Lou has managed all administrative functions, coordinated logistical needs for the entire organization, and conducted event planning for their annual convention in Hawaii. Since the onset of Covid, she has been successfully conducting much of this remotely.

Prior to and concurrent with her work as Administrator for the Board of Directors for MCF, Mary Lou served Fulton County School Districts in a variety of positions. This included multiple administrative and parent facing positions, culminating in her successful role as Registrar for Johns Creek High, one of the newest and largest AAAAA schools in the district. Mary Lou also led event planning efforts at Johns Creek High for several years.

Prior to her career at Fulton County Schools, Mary Lou had several management and supporting roles in the private sector, including Office Manager at a manufacturing facility, Customer Services and Liaison Officer, and Documentation and Data Management roles at other private sector operations.

Mary Lou has been active as a volunteer in her community, from sponsoring, planning and managing several major social events, to raising funds for Cast-0ff Pet Rescue, a no-kill rescue in Northern Georgia.

Mary Lou lives outside of Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, Daryl, enjoys life with their three sons and families, friends, travelling, and supporting community social and animal welfare causes.

BARBRA GILL

Barbara Gill is the Founder of Safe Campus+ and the CEO and President of Gill Digital Services,LLC. Her
career spans over a 25 year period. She began working in the legal litigation support and scanning
industry, when she decided she wanted to expand her services and focus on her client’s business needs
and address their various business pain points. In 2002, Barbara established Gill Digital Services, a Texas
woman-owned small business, working with private sectors, one-man offices to Fortune 500 companies
and government facilities. In 2016, Barbara, once, again, expanded her services by adding brokering,
consulting and re-seller for back office business solution services. In 2019, she added, founded and
branded, SafeCampus+, offering minimizing emergency impact solutions through a complete and unified
campus safety initiative specifically designed to work with existing technology and investments, in order
to unify their existing systems while allowing the campus environment to add any new features and
functions moving forward, as well as, providing above and below-ground safe havens that are fully
supplied and equipped with eco-friendly, non-toxic, all natural and green disinfecting and sanitizing
products. In addition, she has accepted a Board position on Rush Creek Sanctuary, a non-profit
organization focused on animal rescue, rehoming and rehabilitation programs that offer educational and
recreational opportunities that capture the synergies of integrating animal rescue efforts with
therapeutic and social programs for veterans, seniors, children, adults, and those with special needs. She
was nominated as one of 100 women in Dallas to be recognized as the “Business Woman of the Year”
award sponsored by SMU’s Cox School of Business and named 2016 Woman of the Year by Wealth and
Finance International. She is the author of an e-book entitled “How to Make $250,000 a Year by Going
Paperless”, available on googlebooks.com. Barbara is State of Texas and Nationally Certified through
the WBE, WOSB, HUB, TxDOT, SBE and NCTRCA organizations.

ANTHONY GILL

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
OF GILL DIGITAL SERVICES, LLC. & RETIRED VETERAN
Currently, Anthony “Tony”, is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Gill Digital
Services, LLC, headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
Formerly, Anthony was an Official Court Reporter for the State of Wisconsin Court System.  He holds the
Certificate of Proficiency and the Certificate of Merit awards which were awarded to him by the National
Shorthand Reporters Association (NSRA).  He is formerly the President and owner of Anthony C. Gill and
Associates, Inc. (a freelance court reporting firm) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with branches in Madison,
Wisconsin and the Fox River Valley.
Tony is a proud retired U.S. Army Veteran.
He is currently President of the China-America Tai Chi Federation (United States Division).  Anthony and
his wife, Barbara, competed in martial arts in Handan, China (2000) and Hangzhou, China (2004) each
earning four gold medals in competition.
